Use J Visa Waiver Online

DOS directs applicants to update contact information through the J Visa Waiver Online website.

Select the personal-data change option

The current DOS instructions identify the option as “Inform the Department of State of a change to personal data.”

Keep the email address current

WRD may use the email address of record to request additional information and to send notice of its recommendation decision.

USCIS contact information is separate

If the case has moved to USCIS or the applicant also has a Form I-612 pending with USCIS, address obligations for USCIS should be handled through the appropriate USCIS process as well.
